BTA Supports the Beaumont Spirit Run

From the Beaumont Spirit Run website: www.beaumontspiritrun.org

Children RunningThe inaugural Beaumont Spirit run in 2010 was developed to create supplemental funding for educational programs at six Beaumont public elementary schools our two community middle schools, and our high school. Our focus for this year’s run is the same, but with the addition of two new features: the addition of Glen View continuation school and expanded capability to make a ‘school-specific’ tax deductible donation. Last year we raised $10,824 in sponsorship funds, $8612 in runner entries, spent $7617 to host the event, and netted $11,819 or $1313.25 per school (for nine schools). Last year’s proceeds help fund programs such as field trips, ‘say no to drug’ programs, running clubs, sports boosters, after-school activities, and other programs that PTA/ASB recognized as student-focused.

BTA will be there supporting this fun event by giving away books and bananas.
